Pablo Lopez (PEZ) has won many awards as a designer and as an artist during his career in countries like España, Cuba, Iran, Azerbaijan and Uruguay.
He also works as Art Director in an advertising agency in Montevideo.
In his workshop PEZ continues developing, researching and learning new techniques to render his character driven paintings.
His images aim to bring viewers to those individuals who have been part of our lives, and that marked a before and an after in music and cinema.
The Art of PEZ is super realist and cartoonish at the same time. He is especially interested in the effect of “out of focus”, skin textures, light and shadows.
PEZ is influenced by artistic movements such as Expressionism, Cubism, Surrealism, Hyperrealism and of course Pop Art.
